As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University is a private campus in Jatiwaringin, Bekasi. According to the uia.ac.id website regarding the history of the As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University, the As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University is a development of the As-Syafi'iyah Islamic Education Academy (AKPI) which was founded on November 14, 1965, and on the 12th March 1969 AKPI was upgraded to a university. This pioneering and concern began in 1928 when, at the age of 18, young Abdullah Syafi'ie began opening a madrasa with capital from a plot of land from his father. The madrasa developed under the name "Al-Islamiyah" to become "As-Syafi'iyah College".
Currently As-Syafi'iyah University has 6 faculties, namely:
1. Faculty of Law
2. Faculty of Health Sciences
3. Faculty of Economics and Business
4. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education
5. Faculty of Science and Technology
6. Faculty of Islamic Religion
There are 2 campuses for learning activities, most of the lecture activities are on campus 1 and on campus 2 only the economics and business faculty building.
Why is As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University not yet well-known than other Islamic campus?
In my opinion there are 2 reason:
First, it is because the classes are not as large as other private universities, this may mean that the Islamic University of As-Syafi'iyah is not yet the main choice for high school students who want to study.
Second, it is because of the lack of advertising/promotion that many people rarely know about this campus.
The conclusion is that the As-Syafi'iyah Islamic University will be able to become a large campus and be better known to many people if students will promote to their closest relatives to study at the As-Syafi'iyah campus who will continue their studies from high school level. because there are so many favorite faculties and majors that you can choose from.
